Palomar Pictures Europe has strengthened its commercials roster
with four new directors: Jean Pierre Jeunet, who directed Delicatessen;
Pierre Winther; Jonas Grimas, the drama director, and the newcomer,
The Mob Film Company, which relaunched out of Beechurst Films last
month, has hired Raymond Scott from James Garrett & Partners to produce
for Terence & Marek, the duo who directed the Jaffa Cakes spot starring
the England footballer, Tony Adams.
Peter Richardson, the director of the latest Ryvita spot, has broken
away from Tiger Aspect to set up his own company, Jack Strong, with his
producer, Ben Swaffer. Richardson was the creator of the Comic Strip.
The two are joined by Michael Cumming, the director of Brass Eye.
L’Oreal has appointed the design consultancy, Wagstaff, to create a
press campaign for its new fragrance, Infinium. The consultancy won the
business after working with L’Oreal on in-store and promotional
Tim Katz, who was Daniel Barber’s production manager at Rose Hackney
Barber, has joined BFCS where he will produce for two directors, Marc
Over and Gareth Roberts. Katz has worked on a number of ads with Barber,
including the latest Ford Galaxy spot through Young & Rubicam.
