Next week we’ll be bringing you news of some of the 200 people who
will be spending a night in the new wing of Brixton Prison in
conjunction with the charity, Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The sponsorship event has been organised to make the public more aware
of prison conditions while raising funds for the Macmillan Nurses, the
Prison’s adopted charity.
The Diary can reveal that several ad industry people have decided to
swap the familiar interiors of some of London’s finer establishments for
a night in the cells.
Among those taking part are BMP DDB’s chief executive, Chris Powell, the
agency’s joint deputy managing director, Mark Rapley, the D&AD director,
David Kester, and the Ammirati Puris Lintas man doing a special project,
Andrew Cracknell.
We’ll bring you pictures and tales from the cells next week.
