The things creatives do to get a bit of coverage in Campaign - oh,
and raise money for charity.
Bryn Jones and Nigel Edginton-Vigus, a young creative team at Wunderman
Cato Johnson, usually work opposite the recently refurbished Mornington
Crescent tube station.
But the pair decided to work at the station itself for 24 hours to draw
attention to the plight of London’s homeless people and so they spent
from last Thursday morning to Friday busily working on a raised platform
outside the tube.
They managed to raise pounds 4,000 for the homeless charity, Shelter,
and, despite being the focus of attention, say they quite enjoyed the
Good cause and all that - but we are hard to please. If they’d done it
in January, well, we’d have been really impressed.
Still, we can expect some cracking ambient direct marketing ideas from
WCJ in the next few weeks.
