And you thought Campaign only invaded your corporate lives
Eagle-eyed readers still capable of focusing after stumbling out of
Abigail’s Party may have noticed black cabs magnificently attired in
Campaign’s trademark livery.
Despite the very real possibility that the vehicles are bugged, the cabs
have proved to be a hit around town - not least with our favourite
cabbie, Bill, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Campaign’s managing
director, William Pecover. ’She’s a beauty all right,’ he agrees,
casting an affectionate eye over his pride and joy.
Now Soho’s streets will be filled with people vying for a ride in a cab
sponsored by their favourite magazine. But don’t squabble, children; 30
Campaign cabs will be out in force over the next six months.
The famous logo has already attracted an assortment of locals. ’I’ve ’ad
’em all in the back of my cab,’ Bill boasts. ’Bloody awful tippers.
Tsk, admen. Bunch of ...’ (remember our revenue, Ed).
Next time you’re in town, hail one and enjoy the only chance you’ll have
of taking us for a ride.
