CAMPAIGN DIARY: Cheetham Bell takes victory in five-a-side

The great north/south debate kicked off again last week at the annual Creative Circle five-a-side football match.

The great north/south debate kicked off again last week at the

annual Creative Circle five-a-side football match.

After the usual exchange of ’southern poof’ and ’northern scally’, it

soon became clear that Manchester-based Cheetham Bell was running rings

around its southern counterparts. Proving that there is life beyond the

Watford Gap, the agency triumphed in a convincing 3-1 victory in the

final against CDP.

Dave Bell, managing director of Cheetham Bell, has since been spotted

lovingly polishing the trophy, which now takes pride of place in the

agency’s reception.

But there was disappointment that the annual streaker failed to put in a

guest appearance. ’We were thinking about it,’ one bystander confided,

’but we decided it was a bit too chilly.’
