Those of you in West London who have been amused by the sudden
appearance on the streets of a man with lilac hair can rest easy in the
knowledge that the area hasn’t been invaded by punks.
The chap is Clive Rottger, a video editor with Billco, BMP’s production
arm. He was spotted celebrating his birthday in the Prince of Wales pub
close to the agency by Bill Lea, Billco’s managing director, who offered
him pounds 100 to dye his hair lilac. Apparently Rottger often sports a
nice line in pastel-coloured Marks & Spencer’s pullovers.
Not one to shirk a dare, Rottger drew up a contract stating that he
would have his hair treated first with peroxide and then dyed lilac. The
duo promptly signed it.
Come the following Monday, Rottger was very much regretting his wager
and hoped the incident could be forgotten. Alas, he hadn’t foreseen
Lea’s determination to make him go through with it and was horrified
when the contract was produced. The transformation soon commenced.
As yet, it’s not known how Rottger’s girlfriend reacted to his new look
- but she’s certain to go ballistic when she finds out about the tattoo
of Lea on his bum.
