Advertising after 20 years as its legal affairs director, little did he
realise the effect his departure would have on the masses.
Two months on from leaving to work through his own consultancy, and
Circus continues to receive good wishes from many people.
Someone even took the trouble to pen a poem to thank him for the help
and advice he’d doled out in his years at the IPA.
The poet - and we’re sure you’ll agree that he has something of an
untapped talent - is Simon Mercer, chief executive of Harrogate’s
We were impressed and decided to share the poem with readers:
’Thank you, Philip Circus for all of your advice
You’ve given it most graciously - and always in a thrice.
Your name just goes hand-in-hand with cool, calm information,
And I can say, with hand on heart, you’re our number one
Good luck Philip Circus in this new paper position. We’re sure you’re
going to succeed and fuel all of your ambition.
And as for the benefits you have brought to the members of the IPA,
today we stand side by side and just for you we say - Thank you Philip
Circus and hip, hip, hip, hip hooray!’
