For those media luvvies used to the grub at Langans, airline food
generally doesn’t quite hit the spot, even in business class. Unless,
that is, a couple of return tickets to New York are hidden in the
croissants.
Media planners and buyers arriving at work last week were treated to an
authentic aeroplane experience courtesy of the airport advertising
contractor, Sky Sites.
Nonplussed media execs in various offices were greeted by signs
directing them to departures, arrivals and baggage reclaim. Once checked
in and comfortably seated at their desks, cabin crews toured the aisles
with plastic breakfast trays (no sick bags required) and a chance to win
a pair of free tickets to the Big Apple hidden in one lucky tray.
After starting the day with such a soaring take-off, the cabin crews
returned late in the afternoon to prepare the media boys and girls for
their flight home with a round of free gin and tonics.
Lucky winners of the free tickets in last week’s draw were Chris Amor
from BMP Optimum, Tanya Reinhold from Mediapolis, Vicky Robinson from
CIA Medianetwork, Mark Swansborough from New PHD and David Baldwin from
MindShare.
