CAMPAIGN DIARY: Grey creatives make a splash for canine task

Those of you who are wondering how to cope with that unexpected gift of a puppy need not worry.

Those of you who are wondering how to cope with that unexpected

gift of a puppy need not worry.

While relaxing over Christmas, we were charmed by an ad in North

London’s Herald. We’ve always thought the most tedious part of owning a

puppy is the annoying potty-training you have to endure before you can

unveil your cream carpet without fear.

So to the ad for the London Dog Training School - the brainchild of two

Grey creatives, Scott Bain and Gary Dawson. Designed to look like it’s

been used as flooring for a not yet house-trained puppy, it shows a

damp, puddle-like shape over a page of the paper’s local news editorial

with the strapline, ’Who’s a clever little pup?’.

Now if the school could teach puppies to take themselves for a walk and

not pester their owners, the Diary might think again about acquiring a

four-legged friend.
