Following her writing and acting debut last year at the Edinburgh

Festival (Campaign, 8 August 1997), Kara Miller, an account planner at

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, is staging another play at this year’s

Festival.

Entitled Tamagotchi Heaven, after the irritating toys of the same name,

the play explores the relationship between a vindictive, sex-starved

secretary, Emily, and her cyberpet. It will run from 7-31 August at

Festival Venue 33.

After last year’s Festival showing, Miller’s play, Undine, went on

several radio stations to rave reviews and Miller was even tipped by the

Times as a ’Great British Hope’.

Bosses at Abbott Mead, never ones to pass up the opportunity to have the

agency’s name linked to a rising star, have again agreed to sponsor

Miller’s play.
