CAMPAIGN DIARY: M&C pairing seem so well-suited to a fresh role as fash mag lads

To some, M&C Saatchi’s creatives may not appear to be that easy on the eye, but it seems that one pair have embarked on an alternative career of modelling.

To some, M&C Saatchi’s creatives may not appear to be that easy on

the eye, but it seems that one pair have embarked on an alternative

career of modelling.

Readers of this month’s Loaded can see Chris Groom and Matt Fellows from

the agency starring in a fashion shoot based on the cult early 70s film,

Performance.

It seems the duo weren’t snapped up because they are so fair of face,

but merely because Groom was willing to have his head shaved in the line

of duty.

The modelling session came about after Sarah Samuel, a freelance

production assistant who was representing the Union, met the creatives

and mentioned that her boyfriend was Tom Stubbs, the fashion editor on

Loaded. Groom immediately announced that he fancied modelling.

As Loaded has a policy of using ’real’ people in shoots as well as

models, everything was swiftly organised. Increasingly envious of the

attention suddenly being lavished on his partner, Fellows then stepped

in and asked for a bit part in the shoot.

As you can see, Groom gets the full-on frontal shot, paving the way for

future assignments. Fellows is only seen in the distance behind the

wheel of a car. Mind you, looking at the main shot, we think his left

arm has star quality.
