If a picture is worth a thousand words (first British serial
rights, etc), why should we bother with more than 125 to explain
The boy Howell celebrated his award of the Publicity Club of London Man
of the Year cup at the Mansion House last week.
At a somewhat bizarre sub-Masonic ceremony (lots of ritualistic
behaviour and toasting of the Royal Family, the corgis etc), bemused
guests looked on as various big-wigs waxed lyrical about Rupert. Tactful
as ever, Rupe noted that his two bosses, Sir Tim Bell and Martin
Sorrell, were previous winners of the same award.
It also emerged that Rupert’s mum had also changed the nappies of
another previous winner, Lyndy Payne. It was, to coin a phrase, that
kind of day.
