There’s an old adage that says you should be wary of blowing your
own trumpet, which maybe someone should have pointed out to the WBO
world featherweight champion, Prince Naseem Hamed.
In Hamed’s latest ad for his sponsor, Adidas, the flamboyant boxer’s
opinions are divided into rounds. At the eighth round, he laughs and
declares to the camera, ’it wouldn’t go that far’.
We hate to point out that in his Saturday night bout against Wayne
McCullogh in Atlantic City, the latter lasted 12 rounds and lost
narrowly on points.
Look’s like cocky Hamed may have spoken too soon.
