CAMPAIGN DIARY: Ten-year-old Amelia’s poster work proves to be the cat’s whiskers

It seems the creatives at Doner Cardwell Hawkins are being recruited at an increasingly youthful age these days.

recruited at an increasingly youthful age these days.

The agency’s creative director, Paul Cardwell, was impressed when his

daughter brought some schoolwork home. Ten-year-old Amelia, who studies

at London’s Arts Educational School, seems to have inherited an artistic

talent, judging by her depiction of a rain-soaked cat looking forlornly

into the window of a house.

Cardwell was so proud of the picture that he took it into the agency to

show his colleagues. When Derek Conway, the CEO of the Cats Protection

League, Doner Cardwell’s charity client, visited the agency, Cardwell

thought he’d be interested in Amelia’s feline-themed artwork. In fact,

Conway was so impressed with the picture that he decided to use the

drawing on the charity’s public awareness posters, which will appear in

the next few weeks.

Amelia, it’s time to get yourself an agent.
