Glad to see Good Housekeeping’s legendary sense of style filtered
through to the organisers who were working behind the scenes at its 75th
birthday party on Monday.
Although we thought decorating the canapes trays with little lipsticks
was a nice touch, we’re reserving judgment about the trays balanced on
the vacuum cleaners.
We were told that Terry Mansfield, managing director of the National
Magazine Company, made a great speech.
And, as the sound system was so poor that we couldn’t hear a word, we’d
go so far as to say it could have been his best.
