CAMPAIGN DIARY: Titter ye not - protest made serious points. BBH staff saw them all

Staff at Bartle Bogle Hegarty may well have thought their luck was in when a group of naked men and women suddenly appeared on their roof on Tuesday.

Staff at Bartle Bogle Hegarty may well have thought their luck was

in when a group of naked men and women suddenly appeared on their roof

on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, it transpired BBH was the target of a ’Lobby-o-Gram’ on

behalf of ’Naked Truth’ - a group protesting about BBH’s involvement

with its Monsanto client.

Time for a quick history lesson: Monsanto is the company behind

genetically modified soya beans that drafted in BBH to advise on its

sensitive business.

Back to the action. The assorted crusties clustered at BBH all looked to

be enjoying the chaos caused by a roadblock and police presence.

A leaflet handed out by the nudies threatened: ’We will stay here, naked

and on the edge of Bartle ’Bogart’ (sic) Hegarty’s roof until we receive

a written statement from Monsanto.’

But, in the event, resolution was swift. After all, as one BBH insider

said: ’They were getting cold.’
