CAMPAIGN DIARY

While everyone is trying to get their mouths round GGT and BST BDDP’s new name (including the receptionists), the happy campers at the newly merged agency have other things on their minds.

While everyone is trying to get their mouths round GGT and BST

BDDP’s new name (including the receptionists), the happy campers at the

newly merged agency have other things on their minds.

While certain people have fled to the States having survived (yet

another) merger, others milled around the Dean Street offices murmuring

that the BST lot looked rather too businesslike and serious for the lads

at GGT.

One person who would like to be businesslike is John Sharkey, joint

chairman of the new operation. Sadly, we hear, he can’t. Despite

Sharkey’s, and fellow joint chairman Paul Bainsfair’s, beloved white

formica desks surviving the short move from Soho Square, something else

didn’t.

Sharkey’s treasured filing cabinet containing some incredibly important

documents went AWOL. Rumours that the cabinet contained all the money he

made from the deal are as yet unconfirmed.
