Agencies often try to bribe us with trips to shoots and slap-up
lunches, but seldom have we seen such a blatant example as the effort we
received this week.
We were sent a rolled-up fiver, posing as a promotional toy, with a
leaflet advertising a competition on a well-known radio station, where
listeners can call up and win pounds 10,000 if they have a fiver with
the correct serial number.
We would like to say the media group concerned was giving us the
opportunity to scoop the money.
However, the competition is only being run on radio stations in the
North - and we’re in London.
Why do bribers never think it through? Ta for the fiver, though.
