Despite the slump in the dotcom market, the music portal Worldpop has secured a further pounds 5 million in second-round funding, which includes pounds 3 million from the investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. The brand has also struck a deal with Trinity Street, a supplier of direct marketing services to the record industry, to create digital marketing solutions for the record and aligned industries. Meanwhile, Charles Levison, the deputy chairman of the Chrysalis Group, has been appointed as chairman of the company.
