Charities should wake up to the opportunities created by the web, according to research by Horwath Consulting. The company found that charities tend to restrict their websites to just generating awareness and supporting fund-raising efforts. Stephen Game, who undertook the research for Horwath, said: 'Not a single charity surveyed offered the facility of making online direct debit donations or regular donations through credit cards.'
