McVitie's is to launch its first online advertising campaign for
its Hob Nobs biscuit brand on Virgin.net. The ads correspond with the
'You've been nobbled' press and radio campaign, and were design by
Virgin.net's in-house creative team. Mariam Ghali, the senior brand
manager for McVitie's, said: 'For McVitie's Hob Nobs, as for many FMCG
brands, a solus website is not commercially viable as part of an ad
campaign. The opportunity, therefore, lies in linking up with an already
successful website with similar brand values and target audience.'
