CAMPAIGN-I: TBWA TV head launches interactive agency

digital agency dedicated to creating interactive television advertising

solutions.



Richard Forbes-Robinson, previously the head of television at TBWA GGT

Simons Palmer, is heading the launch of Phosphorous with Simon Smith,

who has left his role as creative manager at the digital production

company Static 2358 to join the group as its technology visionary.



Jon Dobinson, who is the managing director of the creative consultancy

Other*, will become the managing director of Phosphorous, and Nicola

Prehn will be the accounts manager.



The launch of the agency follows the recent creation of the interactive

commercials company Sleeper, a joint venture between the web agency

Deepend and Blink Productions (Campaign, 30 June).



As well as providing both clients and agencies with interactive TV

marketing solutions, Phosphorous will also develop websites and

strategies.



Forbes-Robinson will be head of production at Phosphorous and said that

the agency aims to offer independent digital solutions for its clients

in this field. ’Rather than being tied to one client or production

company, we’re trying to provide services to agencies, clients and

production companies because we believe we have the expertise,’ he

said.



’We want to be in a position to advise people as the technology becomes

available.’



Forbes-Robinson said that Phosphorous is in discussions with a number of

agencies about the formation of some strategic relationships. He would

not name the agency’s first client, although he said it was a major

German automotive company.
