Campaign video - interview with Rory Sutherland

LONDON - Rory Sutherland, the IPA's incoming president, has predicted a "dismal" next few months for Britain's beleaguered ad industry with many jobs being shed.

"We're seeing a human tragedy," he says in an interview with Campaign.

However, he predicts business could pick up in the second half of the year as clients realise that "you can't not spend for ever".

Sutherland made his comments during a video interview with Campaign's associate editor, John Tylee (view video above).
