The agency joins a three strong short list although it was not one of the original six contenders for the Overland Park, Kansas, headquartered company.

The other two finalists for the account are Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago, and The Richards Group, Dallas.

Applebee's develops franchises and operates casual dining restaurants in 48 states and in seven international countries, under the trademark of Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar.
