Fiona Dixon, Capital Advertising’s head of client sales, quit the

company last week, leaving its newly expanded client ad team

rudderless.

Client sales - which now incorporates the London sales team - will

temporarily report to sales director Chris Bennett, who was promoted as

part of the sales restructure (Media Business, 26 June).

It is believed that Dixon has left with no job to go to.

Capital Advertising is now on the hunt for two senior sales people, a

head of client sales and a group agency head to fill the vacancy left by

Bennett’s promotion.

One radio agency source proposed that if the position was given to an

internal candidate, then ’agency account manager Jack Manzoor would be

the best bet’.

Currently, there are four agency account managers who report directly to

the newly appointed head of agency sales. These are Manzoor, Simon

Shroot, Alison Finch and Nick Hewat.

Separately, Capital Advertising is unveiling its interactive strategy to

the City this week. It has ploughed significant revenue into developing

web radio and has kept its operations closely under wraps.
