Capital Advertising has named Nick Hewat its head of agency sales.

The announcement ends a two-month trawl to find a replacement for Chris

Bennett.

Bennett was promoted to sales director as part of Capital’s sales

restructure (Media Business, 26 June).

The other managers in line for the promotion were Jack Manzoor, Simon

Shroot and Alison Finch.

Hewat will oversee four agency sales teams - a total of around 40 sales

staff.

The job represents a massive leap for Hewat. In his former role as

agency account manager he was responsible for a team of just six account

executives.

He will manage strategy and sales pitches across the agency sales teams

and run the operations and scheduling teams.

He will hand responsibility for the Zenith account, which he managed for

two years, to a new account manager, who has yet to be announced.

Bennett said: ’This is one the best agency sales jobs. Hewat is a

strategic thinker and ideal for the role.’
