Carat hires Starcom director for international role

Carat International has appointed Karen Fraser, currently the European media research director for Starcom Mediavest Group, as its international product development director.

Carat International has appointed Karen Fraser, currently the European media research director for Starcom Mediavest Group, as its international product development director.

Fraser, who has previously worked as director of international research for Turner Time Warner, will take responsibility for developing group media tools to be used across international clients including the recently won BMW, LVMH and Renault.

Her primary focus will be on developing the internet as a communications tool between the agency and different client offices.

Carat International's chief operating officer, Jerry Buhlmann, said: "Record growth in 2000 is driving our need to recruit talented individuals with a proven track record. Fraser will take up her new position in February.
