Carat lands £5m Telegraph media account

Telegraph Media Group has appointed Carat to handle its £5 million media planning and buying business.

The account is moving from Universal McCann without a competitive pitch and coincides with a creative pitch, which is still ongoing.
Telegraph Media currently spends £4 million on advertising to support The Daily Telegraph and close to £1 million promoting the Sunday Telegraph.
Mike Moore, the executive director of consumer markets at Telegraph Media Group, said: “We have had a long and successful relationship with Universal McCann. However, my restructure of the department gives us the opportunity to bring new expertise into TMG.”
