Carat partners Philips and Spotify to create Expression Sessions

Agency Carat Sponsorship has teamed Philips Male Grooming with Spotify for a new music event to launch the Philips StyleShaver.

The first Expression Session will take place at the Electric Ballroom in Camden on 30 October. It will feature live performances from Rudimental, Annie Mac and MistaJam and be hosted by Radio 1’s Reggie Yates.

David Peters, head of sponsorship at Carat, said: "Music is a real passion for the Philips Male Grooming audience so we’re really excited about bringing the Philips and Spotify brands together to create this partnership. We’re sure it will engage and reward the audience and allow Philips to champion men’s self-expression through an amazing music experience the audience won’t forget."

During the event, guests will have the chance to be styled in the tailored StyleShaver Booths and can win a selection of grooming tools.

Men can apply to attend the free event by suggesting a track that will be considered for the Philips Male Grooming playlist.

Jon Weait, marketing manager at Philips Grooming, added: "Philips knows that men today are freer, and more willing, to express themselves than ever before, changing their facial hair style almost as often as they change their clothes. These events reinforce the importance of self-expression through celebrating artists pushing their boundaries, and offer men the chance to try new styles in a fun and engaging way."
