As the UK's largest privately owned digital agency, we've been involved in marketing for as long as it's been digital. In fact, we started life in 1987, when offices hummed with the whir of the fax machine and the tapetty-tap of the typewriter. We created our first website in 1996 and became pres.co in 1998. After merging with the promotions agency Foresight in 2000, we became Wheel. Since then, bolstered by our acquisition of creative specialists Abel & Baker and the Scottish web agency It's Not Rocket Science, we've continued to excel at the head of the interactive field. As the web claims its rightful place at the heart of the marketing mix, Wheel is able to offer 17 years of experience, a client list that includes Ikea, Starbucks, Unilever, Absolut Vodka and Marks & Spencer, and the mastery of all things digital.
Company culture and style
We employ exceptional individuals with the creativity and the experience to take our clients' brands forward - and who share our values: people who are collaborative, intelligent, agile, plain-speaking and focused on results. Wheel's working philosophy is simple: great people and a stimulating environment make for exceptional work and exciting careers.
Hewn out of an old furniture depository in West Kensington, Wheel's home is just round the corner from Earl's Court, West Kensington and Olympia underground stations, or a short walk from the 'other' end of Kensington High Street. We've got a free gym. We also offer some opportunities to travel - in the past, staff have worked in South Africa, Sweden, France, the Far East and Croydon.
The graduate scheme
We don't operate a formal scheme. Just send your CV - when you're good and ready - with a covering letter and examples of your work to email@example.com.
Training goes on all the time through external providers, from presentation skills to Flash and even a D&AD course for jaded creatives. Wheel:School runs seminars on everything in between.
Pay and benefits
Pay at Wheel is competitive within the industry. We operate salary ranges, with a generous bonus scheme based on individual performance, and on formal appraisals once a year. We also offer life assurance, free gym membership, private medical insurance after qualifying period and a stakeholder pension.
Our company structure and growth plan provide lots of opportunity for promotion and progression, and great variety.
Digital marketing is the fastest growing sector of the advertising industry.
With 50 per cent of the UK population online and the internet overtaking cinema, radio and press as the medium of choice for consumers, there's nowhere more exciting for people interested in brands to work. The growth of the internet as a branding medium has made it one of the most effective channels for FMCG advertising. Familiar household brands are joining the automotive, retail, travel and finance sectors as major investors in our sector.
