CAREERS: Company CV - Canon

Company facts

Company facts

Canon has a European network consisting of 24 wholly or jointly owned

marketing and sales companies, of which Canon (UK) is one.

Canon’s top four brands supported by advertising in the year to April

1999 were PageStation, IXUS Camera, Business Machines Product Range and

Canon Solutions.

After a four-year break, Canon returned to TV advertising in March, with

a pounds 1.5m campaign through WCRS for the launch of PageStation. The

ad featured a wooden box being used for different purposes.

In April the company announced that it was among the four sponsors of

Euro 96 which had decided not to back the Euro 2000 football

championships.

According to a survey by RSL Sponsortest, Canon - along with Snickers -

was spontaneously recalled as a sponsor of the World Cup by just 1% of

those surveyed. Canon will continue its involvement with the Champion’s

League.
