Clear Channel International is to brief headhunters to track down
two senior sales people for its planned international sales
The first international sales director will head an ad department that
will chase cross-border business, and is likely to be based in the
The second international sales director will devote his or her time to
’spreading the word’ about Clear Channel’s poster and radio portfolio
across all of CCI’s international markets.
As reported in Media Business on 22 May, CCI is in discussions about
creating a department that will offer pan-European advertising deals in
the outdoor and radio sectors.
Coline McConville, chief operating officer at CCI outside the US, said:
’We need one person to go out and sell across European markets and
someone who can operate from the base, sorting things out
However, McConville stressed plans for the new division are at an early
stage and added that she has yet to draw up a shortlist of candidates
for two positions.
CCI is part of Clear Channel Communications. It runs all of Clear
Channel’s operations outside the US.
