Clear Channel Radio Sales (CCRS) is selling a new local radio sales

package covering 12 local stations in the Meridian South area.

The new sales package covers local stations in the Meridian South area,

which covers Dorset, Hampshire and West Sussex.

CCRS has created a division to handle the business. Edward Howard

Williams, previously account manager at CCRS, has been promoted to group

business development manager in charge of the unit.

According to Rajar, when combined, the 12 local stations cover an area

of 2.4 million adults with an 18 per cent weekly reach, of which 64 per

cent are ABC1.

Advertisers will be able to buy an airtime package that will be

syndicated across all the local stations, while still having the option

to purchase stations individually.

David Goffin, commercial director at CCRS, said: ’ You will get bigger

audiences for your money and still continue to reach the local

community.

This is something that the larger stations find difficult to

achieve.’

Brands advertising on CCRS stations in the area include Ford, British

Gas, Legoland, Royal Mail, The Daily Telegraph, the COI and Woolwich.
