CDP and New PHD have scooped the task of helping the US-owned
information and media giant, Bloomberg, boost its profile throughout
Europe.
Bloomberg specialises in real-time financial news and data in
competition with the likes of Dow Jones and Reuters. Established in 1981
with a dollars 10 million payoff to the former investment banker,
Michael Bloomberg, the privately owned empire claims to be the
fastest-growing media group in the world.
Although rooted in its financial niche, Bloomberg has branched out from
data systems at desktop terminals into television and radio channels and
is widely reported to be considering moving into newspapers.
The launch of its 24-hour television news channel in Europe earlier this
year persuaded the group of the need to seek greater public awareness
and to sign up long-term media advertising partners to help achieve
this.
