Centurion has been awarded the publishing and ad sales contracts

for three titles.

Scouting, the magazine for the Scout Association; The Award Journal, the

quarterly for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme; and Best of British,

a nostalgic title for the grey market, have all joined the Centurion

fold.

Jason Grant, publisher at Centurion, is planning to redesign the two

adventure titles - Scouting and The Award Journal - later this year.

James Barber, ad director, will be in charge of ad sales and wants three

more people to bolster his existing sales force of seven.

The editorial:advertising ratio is likely to change from 85:15 to a

60:40 split, according to Grant.

Barber will target specialist outdoor stores such as Blacks for the

adventure titles.

The Centurion portfolio includes Legion magazine, published for the

Royal British Legion, and The Rambler.
