All change in 2010 agency league table

The majority of UK ad agencies saw a return to billings growth during 2010, according to The Nielsen Company's data for the year.

Fallon, however, saw more than 40 per cent of its billings wiped out, sending it tumbling 17 places in the top ad agencies list, from three to 20.

The biggest climbers among the top billers were McCann Erickson with a 39.5 per cent billings rise, lifting it from sixth to second place, and the resurgent Leo Burnett, which rose to fourth from ninth in the table.

Only five of the top 20 agencies saw a billings drop. JWT fell from fifth to ninth and WCRS&Co plunged out of the top ten.

Adam & Eve made it into the top 30 for the first time, as did Brothers and Sisters. Other notable changes were a 76.7 per cent billings drop and a fall of 39 places to 63 for Rapier, and a 48.7 per cent billings fall for Proximity.
