Channel 4 "Giant idents" by 4Creative

Channel 4's new idents mark a creative evolution from its bold 2015 rebranding.

Whereas the previous idents deconstructed the channel’s logo blocks in abstract vignettes directed by Jonathan Glazer, these new spots take a more accessible, narrative approach. The broadcaster has brought its logo blocks to life as a giant in charming tales directed by Dougal Wilson, who was also behind Channel 4’s award-winning "We’re the superhumans" campaign for the 2016 Rio Paralympics. The character is meant to personify values of creative risk, youth and diversity, while its mnemonic call pays homage to the original 1982 ident by Martin Lambie-Nairn.
