Channel 4's trailer for new reality series The Circle plays on the premise that on social media you can be whoever you want to be.
The colourful spot flashes a range of different scenarios across the screen to illustrate the idea of the series, in which players from all walks of life will compete to win up to £50,000 by building their online personalities. The competitors will live in one modern block but separately in individual apartments and can only interact with each other through a voice-activated social media platform called The Circle. It will be presented by Alice Levine and Maya Jama and sponsored by Giffgaff. The trailer was created by Robin Temple and Tom Woodington and directed by Ninian Doff through Pulse Films.
