The split comes just a few weeks after Channel 5 moved its media planning and buying business out of its launch agencies, Carat and Michaelides and Bednash, into a single shop, Walker Media.

It is thought that Jim Hytner, the channel's new marketing director, will call now a pitch for the creative business on the £10 million account.
