The 30-second spot advertises a prize draw in the paper to win one of 100 Kuoni holidays. It features a sequence of vignettes designed to remind consumers about why being in England during the winter is miserable. Scenarios featured include dark mornings and packed supermarkets.
Media planning and buying is through MindShare. It breaks on 6 December on ITV, Channel 4, Five and satellite stations, and will be supported by press ads in The Daily Telegraph.
Mark Dixon, the marketing director of the Telegraph Group, commented: "We think our latest ad from CHI will be a great driver for the promotion."
The spot was written by Laurie Smith and art directed by Matt Pam. It was directed by Alex Turner through Godman, with post-production through Smoke & Mirrors.
