Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper is beefing up its creative department with

the appointment of Chris Herring, the former co-founder and joint

creative director of Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy, as joint deputy

creative director.

Herring will partner Euro RSCG’s head of art, Andy McKay, who joined the

agency from Lowe Howard-Spink in June last year.

’Since completing my leave, I have spoken to a number of people.

However, I found Euro RSCG to be the most interesting offer in terms of

its business and atmosphere,’ Herring said.

Herring joins fellow deputy creative director, Paul Shearer, at the

agency.

However, Herring and McKay will work as a team while Shearer will

continue to help oversee the creative output across the agency.

Mark Wnek, executive creative director of Euro RSCG, said: ’Herring is

one of the best writers in the business. When you have access to that

kind of class, you have to snap it up.’

Herring quit his position at Mustoes with Nick Mustoe, the agency’s

chief executive, suggesting that Herring was happier writing than

running an agency.

At the agency, Herring was heavily involved in the campaign to get Ken

Livingstone elected as Mayor of London.
