Following the theme of recent campaigns, which have featured celebrities such as Rolf Harris, Roy Walker and Ricky Hatton, the ad, by WCRS, shows the Churchill dog talking to a family over breakfast, about the brand’s latest home insurance deal.
One of the characters doubts the deal is really on offer, saying that Churchill had claimed he would be house-sitting for Bellamy. The ad then cuts to a shot of the botanist describing to Churchill how to look after his tropical houseplants. Media buying for the campaign was handled by MediaCom.
Peter Deane, head of marketing at the RBS Insurance-owned brand, said: "The latest campaign continues to demonstrate that Churchill lives up to his promises."
The brand recently announced that its nodding dog character will appear at Pontin's Holiday Parks over the summer, starring in a children’s stage show.
Last winter, the Churchill character appeared in more than 20 pantomimes across the UK, alongside celebrities such as ‘Torchwood' lead John Barrowman, ex-‘EastEnders' actor Shane Richie, and comedian Joe Pasquale.
