CIA Medianetwork Scotland has picked up the offline portion of the
launch brief for Halifax’s internet banking service Intelligent
The agency has been appointed alongside Quantum New Media Services, the
online arm of Booth Lockett Makin, to handle the pounds 15 million
account (Media Business, 28 February). Quantum has been selected to
handle the online work.
The offline business will be overseen by Graham Milne, CEO of CIA
Medianetwork Scotland, who will run a team of three, comprising media
group manager David Shearer, account director Tania Alonzi and senior
media executive Harriet Bruce
Milne said the drive would be a multimedia campaign, and there would be
strategy co-ordination between CIA and Quantum. ’All the various
marketing services involved in the launch will be sitting around the
table quite a bit,’ he said.
The campaign is due to launch in the summer, shortly before Intelligent
Finance goes live in July.

The company claims the service will enable customers to ’maximise every
penny they save and earn’, and will offer unprecedented control over
Intelligent Finance, whose head office is in Edinburgh, will run a
number of promotional roadshows across the country this summer.
The bank’s aim is to have 500,000 customers by the end of its first
year, and two million by the end of 2004.
