Cowan Kemsley Taylor has launched a campaign for the toy

manufacturer, Corinthian, to introduce its Premier Power Players

product.

The toys are Action Man-sized with moving parts that emulate kicking or

saving actions.

The ad is a parody of Nike’s ’kick it’ spot, and features action footage

of David Beckham, David Seaman and Alan Shearer. In each case, the live

action cuts to a toy figure performing the moves. As in the Nike ad,

graphic titles saying ’save!’ and ’goal!’ flash up.

Simon Gravatt, the account director for Corinthian at CKT, said: ’The

idea is to show kids that they can recreate dramatic football moments.

Corinthian’s original range, the Headliner figurines, has been a

tremendous success, and the Power Players range is a great new product

to work with.’

The ad breaks this weekend and will roll out nationally on terrestrial

and satellite TV in the run-up to Christmas. It was written by Brent

Gosling, art directed by Mike Bear and directed by Zadoc Nava through

Union Commercials.

Media is handled by Booth Lockett Makin.
