Clarification

Willott Kingston Smith's figures for Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe in last week's agency league table were incorrect. They did not take into account the fact that the company only traded for seven months before transferring its trade to Young & Rubicam. The results should be pro-rated to reflect 12 months of trading.

Had this been done, Rainey Kelly would have appeared 26th, with gross income of pounds 6,981,000 (up 20.38 per cent), operating profit of pounds 1,526,000 (up 24.17 per cent) and employment costs of pounds 2,940,000 (up 22.19 per cent).

In the mini-tables, Rainey Kelly should have appeared first for operating profit per head (pounds 27,745), ninth for employment costs per head (pounds 53,455) and third for gross income per head (pounds 126,927).
