Clifton quits BBH TV role to join Gulliman at Saatchi & Saatchi

Saatchi & Saatchi has poached Toby Clifton, the senior Bartle Bogle Hegarty television producer known for his work on the agency's famous "bull" spot for Audi.

In four years working at BBH, Clifton has worked on some of the agency's most high-profile clients including Gordon's Gin, One2One, Sega and Barclays.

He was also responsible for BBH's "mintsource" reel of new directing talent and the production arm which handled the new directors' various projects.

Clifton is the first hiring by Saatchis' new head of television, Andy Gulliman, since he defected from BBH in August.

"Toby has the desire, dedication and enthusiasm to heighten our creative standards," Gulliman said. "His broad range of experience and proven track record in advertising will make him a great addition to the team."

Clifton started his career at Publicis and the now defunct Yellowhammer before moving into TV as a director at MTV, where he was the executive producer of music channels in Australia, Hong Kong and India. He has also been the executive producer for BBC Entertainment.
