Close-Up: 24 hours with ... Paul Briginshaw, Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy

Name: Paul Briginshaw
Job: Creative director and partner, Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy
Professional mission: Be the enemy of average
Personal mantra: Always carry a camera

6.14am I'm a Greek warrior hacking heroically against a shield wall of small pink furry rabbits.

6.20am Shower. Try to make sense of the dream. Remember reading a review of the film 300 in last night's Evening Standard. God only knows where the rabbits came from.

7.05am Car. Francesca, my daughter, gets a lift (the bus from Wandsworth takes three days to get to Soho). She has started work at Leap Music. She likes it a lot. We should use them for music searches. Station-hop the radio trying to find latest Groove Armada track.

7.40am Breakfast. Single scrambled egg on two slices of brown toast at Il Pan d'Oro. Been going there since I can remember. Creature of habit? Maybe. Twenty minutes with The Times and a flick through The Sun.

8.45am Office. Some thinking time.

9.30am Malcolm and I take a run at a P&O Cruises brief. I've always liked drawing ships.

10.30am Nick and Lee come in with a neat answer to the same brief. We're in good shape for tomorrow.

10.45am Review creative on JCB.

11.00am Second meeting with director on Vision Express.

12.00pm First meeting with director on new client hoping to launch on TV. Can it be done for the cash?

12.45pm Jeremy Carr and Richard Midgley show us something new I can't talk about for Debenhams. Offer to buy them lunch.

1.00pm Restaurant. Chez Gerard with the above. They're flying to LA at the weekend to shoot next season's TV for Debenhams. There's some swimwear involved and they're staying at The Mondrian for a week. They should buy us lunch.

2.25pm Studio. Putting together layouts. In nearly eight years since we started MCBD, I have never once heard the studio or traffic say: "It can't be done." They are my rock.

3.30pm Jungle sound. Dubbing 30-second version of Department of Health "hook" commercial.

5.00pm Office. Quick meeting to talk about the building, the numbers and the summer party.

5.30pm Review work on Greene King.

5.45pm Stairway chat with Danny and Gavin about viral idea for Total.

6.00pm People carrier. On the way to drinks organised by our DOH client. It's a "thank you" to their agencies.

8.30pm Home.

10.45pm Bed. I'm reading Letters From Iwo Jima. Help.
