Cobra is determined to ditch its image as a "curry beer" and has launched a campaign to encourage people to order it in pubs. The spot, created by Karmarama, introduces the fictional owner of Cobra – an impossibly smooth gentleman called The Boss, who also runs a bra company called BraCo (an anagram of Cobra). It plays on the similarities between The Boss’ day job leading the beer brand and his responsibilities at BraCo in the evenings. The ad is the first by Karmarama since it won the creative account from BMB last year. It was written by Richard Connell, art directed by Clement Woodward and directed by Mike Maguire through Biscuit Filmworks.
