Mother has created a poster and mixed-media campaign to promote
Burger King’s value meal offerings.
Advertising will back one of the fast-food giant’s new value meal
combinations, which are usually the province of Burger King’s roster
agency, Ammirati Puris Lintas.
The campaign, which breaks in October, came about through Mother’s
relationship with Coca-Cola, which is one of Burger King’s biggest
Although Coca-Cola regularly undertakes advertising initiatives with
Burger King, this is believed to be the first time that the drinks giant
has drafted in its own agency for a project. Burger King is buying the
space through its media agency, Carat, while Coca-Cola is paying the
campaign’s production costs.
Mother has been working with Coca-Cola since it won the Lilt business
from McCann-Erickson more than two years ago.
A spokeswoman for Burger King stressed that the company’s relationship
with APL remains unchanged.
