Gary Barlow performs a song from his new album in the latest ad for Comparethemarket.com. VCCP Blue created the spot, which also marks the one-year anniversary of the brand’s sponsorship deal with Coronation Street. In the ad, which follows a teaser spot that aired earlier this month, Barlow turns up to a party, only to realise that he has been duped into performing for Aleksandr Orlov’s friends. A reluctant Barlow agrees to play his new song accompanied by the meerkats, and there’s a rousing finale with fireworks. The work was created by Matt Hynds and Liam Wilson, and directed by Darren Walsh through Passion Pictures.
